Research Profile

Research at LMU Medicine is organized into four focus areas: Neurosciences; Infection and Immunity Research; Cardiovascular Research; and Oncology Research. These are interconnected through four cross-sectional fields: Molecular Biomedicine and Cellular Plasticity; Precision Prevention and Public Health; Transplantation, Gene and Cell Therapy; and Digital Medicine and Artificial Intelligence.

Focus areas

The major health challenges facing our society and the world are neurological disorders, infectious and immune-mediated diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer. In response to these challenges, LMU Medicine has defined four research focus areas:
